UPS Industrial Services is accepting resumes for a Contract Review Specialist. The Contract Review Specialist is a key member of the Contract Administration team. Primary responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, redlining, negotiating, and finalizing contracts and agreements for clients and subcontractors in industries such as refining, petrochemical, power generation, midstream, offshore, and plant maintenance. The Contract Review Specialist ensures compliance with company standards, mitigates risk, and manages contractual obligations, while supporting business operations and development initiatives.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Coordinate the review of contract documents for potential risks related to legal and commercial terms, under the guidance of the Director – Contracts Administration.
  • Redline client contracts using standard clauses and negotiate directly with clients and subcontractors.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to finalize risk structures and contractual terms.
  • Answer internal queries regarding contract terms and assist with contract negotiations.
  • Facilitate contract kick-off meetings for new contracts and major projects, and follow up on resulting initiatives.
  • Maintain databases and audit files for contracts, subcontracts, rate administration, and rate entries into the system.
  • Monitor the contract lifecycle, ensuring timely renewals, expirations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support internal teams with contract lookups, clarifications, and documentation.
  • Coordinate client requests for proposals, documentation, and information related to contractual terms, labor rates, and estimates.
  • Work closely with operations and business development to clarify contracts and align expectations.
  • Lead initiatives to improve department processes and participate in contract-related decision-making.
  • Ensure all work adheres to departmental standards and guidelines, supporting both compliance and strategic goals.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of contract lifecycle experience, including redlining and negotiating contracts, preferably within the refining, petrochemical, power generation, midstream, or offshore industries.
  • Certification such as CCCM or similar is a plus.

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and contract lifecycle management systems.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and collaboration across teams and with clients.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with a sense of urgency to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to balance risk management with business opportunities.
